Jackie Uses Isagenix for Healthy Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

A little over two years ago I was introduced to Isagenix’s Isalean Shake through a specific diet I received from a nutritionist. Although I didn’t stay on the diet (it wasn’t very sustainable), I continued to use Isalean shakes for convenience. Unfortunately, it was close to a year before I realized all the other amazing products Isagenix had to offer.

In March 2014 we found out we were expecting our third child. We were over the moon! I was, however, worried about the weight gain. I gained about 60lbs with each one of my girls and still hadn’t lost all the weight. It was then I decided I was going to try and have the healthiest pregnancy possible. I incorporated the Isalean Shakes and Bars into my everyday diet, obviously being careful not to limit my caloric intake. I just wanted to fuel my body with the best nutrition for me and my baby. Well, mission accomplished. I gained a healthy 30lbs and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in November.

Like a lot of new mommys, I had trouble ridding myself of the baby weight, even though I was careful to eat healthy and only gain the recommended amount of weight during my pregnancy. I tried to diet, but that only resulted in the loss of my milk supply. I was determined to breastfeed my son for at least 6 months and just didn’t see how that was going to be possible while trying to lose weight at the same time. It finally dawned on me, if I was so successful with isagenix during my pregnancy, what was stopping me from the same success while breastfeeding and trying to lose the last of the unwanted pounds? I starting using the shakes and the bars as meal replacements for breakfast and lunch, eating a healthy dinner with plenty of healthy snacks during the day. Low and behold, after only 1 month I was down 13lbs and back to my pre pregnancy weight, all without being hungry or losing any of my milk. In fact, I actually found that I had a slight increase supply of milk. Not to mention, my son is in the 98th percentile for weight and height, which I am convinced is due to the best nutrition on the planet!

When my son was 3 months old, it was time for me to return to work. All I wanted to do was to stay home and care for my infant son. It was a very difficult time for me. However, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. When I returned to work, my coworkers complimented me on how great I looked for just having a baby and inquired what it was that I was doing. After sharing my story with them, they too wanted in. Who wouldn’t?! Remembering that my longtime friend, Christine Belin, had reached out to me a couple of months prior asking me to get involved in the buisness side of things, I contacted her for more information on how I could get my friends these products. Her response? “WHY aren’t you interested in getting your products paid for and making some extra money again?!” I had explained to Chris in January that I didn’t have enough time, I just had a baby, I already have a good paying job, and that I didn’t see myself as a “seller.” So again we started discussing the buisness side. I watched the isamovie.com videos and was so inspired that I couldn’t not do it. After really researching the products and history of the company, I became so excited and passionate, I needed to share it with others immediately. I got 2 people from work to sign up with me and from there it has just snowballed.

I’m not going to say that it has been easy, I definitely work at this. But I really LOVE it. I love helping others, I love that I’m able to work only 2 days a week as a dental hygienist while getting to work from home with my children the rest of the week, and I love that I belong to this beautiful, supportive ISA family!

With the support of Katie, Adam, and especially Chris, I just hit Crystal Director. I’m proud of my accomplishments but know it’s only the beginning. My next goals are to lose 25lbs with the help of the cleanses (as soon as I’m done nursing my 9 month old son next month), hit Crystal Executive, and eventually become a 6 figure earner. Who knows, maybe I’ll even retire a millionaire…the sky is the limit!

Where to begin?

I had my beautiful baby girl at 16.  Married her amazing dad at 20. Made the awesome decision to expand our family at 21, and my handsome baby boy was born.  That was a whirlwind 5 years. And it took its toll on my body.  I was young and truly thought all the weight would just “come off” as easy as it came on. Um, well NOPE! It stayed.  Life was busy. Learning to be a mom, maintaining a house, plus my kids were in every sport and activity offered in this small town.  Anything to keep them busy. At the same time, it kept us busy and looking after myself was relegated to the back burner once again.

In between all the running, we ate for convenience. McDonalds, grabbing coffee and snacks at gas station stores all became the norm.  It didn’t help I had resumed smoking as well.  Things began piling up on me, both physically and emotionally. I was TIRED!  If I could grab a nap, I would take that chance anytime.  I never wanted to get up in the morning and drug myself to work and activities.  I tried all the diet tricks and fixes: Weight Watchers, ephedrine pills, restricted diets  etc.  They all worked, kinda, for a bit.  Then I would slip right back into bad habits.

7 years ago I quit smoking.  I started walking, eating better and I actually lost weight my first year. But my energy levels never came up. I slid off once again.  The weight crept back up. I got discouraged. I said “what the hell!  Ill do what I want as nothing is working anyways”

Laurie B. is yet another success story on the Cougars & Cowboys team.

Last year, the year I turned 40!! I had noticed a friend on Facebook mentioning a nutritional cleansing program.  I of course looked at it, decided it was a fad thing and forgot about it.   I started back to work from my summer vacation, and noticed that I barely could stay awake when I returned home from work. I had no motivation or desire to do anything but nap. It was making my increasingly agitated and frustrated.   I once again noticed the Isagenix testimonials showing up on my newsfeed.  This time I reached out to Cari Carter and asked for more info. I was very very skeptical.  I talked myself into and out of it for 3 months . Then finally, I made the decision that I needed to started taking charge of my health and this may just be the way to do it.

That was almost 5 months, 18 pounds, and a zillion inches ago.  I am a different person. It is so hard to explain where this journey has brought me and I’m not done yet.  I have an amazing energy, and zest for life that I never thought possible. My 20’s and 30’s will have nothing on my 40’s.   People constantly remark on my results and I am happy to share. They say “but do you have to do it FOREVER”?  And I’m like “why not??!?”  I am looking after myself and making so many lifestyle changes. This program has changed my for the better, inside AND out.  Both areas that count immensely. It has also afforded my a financial independence that I wasn’t even thinking about when this started.  That part kind of fell into my lap.  There are some amazing people on my team and I am so very proud of their successes as well.  Sharing your success and seeing others fulfill their dreams makes me so very happy.  Here’s to a healthy and successful future!

C&C’s Newest 100 Pound Club Member, Rose

Recently, we had the opportunity to speak with Rose Merlino, who has now lost 103 pounds, and is the Cougars & Cowboys Team’s newest 100-Pound Club member! She had tried several diets in the past, but nothing clicked for her until she found this program. What started with a goal to be able to dance at her son’s wedding ended up in a new lifestyle for Rose. p.s. Happy Birthday, Rose!

Rose has lost 103 pounds and is Cougars & Cowboy’s newest 100-Pound Club Member.

“I first learned about the program last February (’14) while scrolling my Facebook newsfeed,” shares Rose. “I came across a post from a former boss who had just embarked on a new healthy lifestyle for her and her husband. She asked if anyone was interested in joining them. Since my son was getting married that November (’14) and I tried so many ways to get healthy and failed I thought it was worth the gamble to see if this could help me. So I signed up with the Pacesetter pack with IsaLeanPRO, following the suggestion from my coach Adam Becker.  My goal was to get healthy enough to dance with my son at his wedding. Once I accomplished that, my new goal is to stay healthy so I can enjoy future grand children.”

Rose went on to lose 103 pounds  and 73 inches between February ’14 and February ’15, and she jokes that was her Valentine’s gift! “I now have energy and find it so much easier to do things. At 251 pounds I was finding it hard to just bend over now at 148 I can bend without any trouble,” Rose shared.

“My regular day starts with drinking 16 oz of water then my wonderful shot of Ionix. After my shower I make my shake usually half chocolate half vanilla or my new favorite half strawberry and half chocolate taste like chocolate cover strawberries! Then I take my accelerator,ageless essentials with product B am with another 16 oz of water then off to work I go.About 2 hours I have my snack t-chai tea with a hard boil egg plus two egg whites or one slim cake or greek yogurt or half a meal bar or whey thins this program gives us many choices I can go on and on.Then 2 hours after snack I have the second shake.My last snack I have at home after I do a workout which can be a walking DVD which I always loved or a run on the treadmill.My meal consist of fish or chicken,veggies and salad.Lately I have found a few recipes using cauliflower that are pretty good. I really don’t know what’s ahead for me only that I will keep on this lifestyle cause I truly believe it saved my life!”

Meet The Newest 100-Pound Club Member Chad Nickerson!

1. Why did you get start the program?
I had followed Jen Reichert on Facebook for a long time and I think there was a point that I had ran across a picture she had of a gentlemen named Barry that had lost over 100 lbs and at that time was working on the next 100. One day in July, Jen was having a contest consisting of someone who wanted to lose a lot of weight. So I PM Jen saying I had tried many diets and was unhappy, tried all the time and was looking for some financial help. The prize was 200 dollars of free product to start the program. So I got the 9 day shake and cleanse program.

2. What was life like for you before starting the program?
I am a dairy farmer which requires lots of physical and mental demands. I was tired and didn’t want to do anything when I got done with work but with young children 3,6 and 8 they don’t give you much of an option. I didn’t sleep well because I had so much pain in my shoulders and elbows I had to take pain killers every night so I could sleep. I felt like it was getting harder and harder just to do my everyday job. I have always been pretty active but I loved food. I would eat anything and everything good or bad. Drank 36 oz of soda a day because I felt I needed caffeine and wasn’t a big fan of coffee.

3271352_orig3. Please share your journey and success so far with the products. What’s changed in your life?

When I started I didn’t want to take the pictures because I was too embarrassed to do that. I really didn’t know how great of products I was using until a week in and I was sleeping through the night with no pain. Not going to lie the first day I couldn’t finish my shake for supper because I had such a bad head ache from my body adjusting to good food. After a week I had to get on a scale to see how it was going and 15 lbs. Wow!!! This is working. When I look back the first cleanse was scary but I just kept going, stayed busy and before you know it it was day five and shake was so good.

I started the journey at 382 lbs and 467 inches total. By one month I was down 50 lbs and down 33.50 inches. The first month kept it simple shakes 2 eggs 500 cal meal for lunch Greek yogurt for afternoon snack and shake at night. Deep cleansing every other week. By 2 months I was ready to show my progress. I posted my start to that point was down 74 lbs and 49 total inches. I felt like I needed to be doing something all time. I started walking a couple times a week plus taking my son to football. So I knew that my energy levels sky rocketed and loving it. Lots of complements really motivated me to go hard. After 2 and half months a lot of people had suggested going to the doctor to make sure everything was ok because I was losing so much weight in a very short period time. They checked my Liver, kidneys, Ketones and thyroid. The Doctor told me everything was in line and healthy weight loss but suggested I go from 1300 cal to 1600 cal a day. This was hard for me to change my routine but I adjusted well and kept going strong on weight loss. By three months I was down to 288 lbs and 85 inches. My goal was to hit the 100 lbs before I when home for Thanksgiving and I weighed the day before we left 275. This was the big test to go home to mom’s great cooking but I was the one teaching my mom ways to cook healthier. I felt great to put my cooking skills to the test. I got to use some of my money I got from referring Isagenix for buying size 38 pants can’t remember when I wore that size it felt so great. It is almost Christmas and I am at 266 lbs. I feel great energetic and always ready to go. One example was this past weekend had to put in 15 hr days with 4 hrs of sleep and I wouldn’t be able to walk on Monday, for being on my feet for so long but that next day I walked on the treadmill for almost a half hr and did 150 sit-ups like nothing. I have never felt like this before.

4. What are your favorite products? Why?
I love WANT MORE Energy orange flavor. Every morning I add that to my vanilla shake. It just taste great and so filling with the electrolytes to give me more energy. I love peanut butter so the peanut bars are great for that craving plus if I get too busy to make a shake I can just have one instead. The IsaDelights keep my sane having a wife who loves to bake. Cleanse for life feeling after 2 days of that is awesome. I just started doing the bedtime belly buster and wow when I wake up I feel the difference. The shake are great I love PB2 with my chocolate shake.

5. What’s ahead for you goal-wise? Have you started sharing the opportunity with others?
My plans are to do another IsaBody challenge for muscle and performance starting beginning of the new year. MY goal right now is to be at 220 by June/ July. That is 160 lbs lost in less than a year. I would love to train for a half marathon sometime in the nearfuture maybe the fall of 2015.

I am now coaching a team to use the product and they are experiencing similar results.

6. Can you share your tips for success? What does a typical day look like for you?
Keep it simple! I have said that from the beginning eat high protein snacks, 1200 to 1300 calories per day, stay active. Natural accelerator, Want more energy, and bedtime belly buster with sleep spray. I eat a lot of chicken and salad. I use a salsa for a salad dressing much better for you. NO SODA OR COFFEE!!

9146448_orig1. Why did you get start the program (sponsor, pack you started with, how long it took you to decide, what finally made you say “yes”)?
My cousin Amanda Heft Schlegel sparked my interest after reading her post on Facebook about shakes and chocolate and losing weight.  After all, who doesn’t have an interest in chocolate and losing weight?? I sent her a private message to see what she was up to and she explained the program a bit. I was interested but skeptic (like most people). I discussed my CRAZY addiction to Tim Horton’s coffee and I believed there was no way I could eliminate it from my life and still function. She then added me to the Isa-lifestyle group so I could see other people’s stories and results and I became sort of obsessed with checking the page for posts and of course pictures. I waited a couple of weeks and checked in with Amanda to see how she was doing because I could see a million pictures but I wanted to see the results on someone I knew. She sent me her 30 day result pictures and I was impressed with them so the next step was getting over the price (another problem I see and hear a lot of people struggle with). Finally, after about a month I decided I was going to save money by eliminating coffee and make an investment in my health and get started with the Pacesetter so I was set up for success and that’s what I did.

2. What was life like for you before starting the program?
Before starting the program I was very busy, often irritable, anxious and exhausted. Changing my lifestyle has been a real eye opener for me. On a typical day I generally skipped breakfast and ran to Tim Horton’s for my large (triple/ triple) coffee on the way to work. I usually went there again on my lunch and ordered another coffee and sometimes a bagel for lunch. If I didn’t feel like having a bagel I would just go to the vending machine at work and grab chips or cheez its and a candy bar, then wash it down with a diet Pepsi. At the of a long crazy stressful day at work I would then grab yet another coffee on my way home, go eat dinner with my family and try to squeeze in some quality time after all of the running around. I think it’s pretty clear now why I was tired, had stomach issues and anxiety and the craziest part is while I had been living that way for so long, I had NO idea I was doing all of that to myself.

3. Please share your journey and success so far with the products. What’s changed in your life?
I started my journey in the on May 2 with the intention of losing 5-10lbs. On day1 I took my before pictures which didn’t make me feel very good about myself but definitely sparked my motivation. I then got started and was very disciplined. I took pictures every Thursday to compare and see my results (I didn’t want to just see the number on the scale) and every week I was happy which just motivated me to continue. Since this is a lifestyle change I can’t say I never “cheated” but in comparison I definitely make way better choices. In 6 weeks I lost 18-20lbs (depending on the day) and I have maintained that since. After the 3rd day my headaches from caffeine withdrawal were gone. I now drink at least 60 ounces of water a day, no pop at all and my body loves me for it. I feel way better physically and mentally. I am so glad I made the commitment to myself and changed my life. 🙂

4. What are your favorite products? Why?
This is a tricky one. I have enjoyed everything I have tried. The things I cannot live without are obviously the shakes and the Ionix supreme, it helps me start my day and I love it. My favorite meal bars are chocolate decadence (they are amazing if you warm them in the microwave) and chocolate peanut butter. I love the convenience of grabbing them on the go when I’m running short on time. The products make success EASY!!

5. What’s ahead for you goal-wise? Have you started sharing the opportunity with others?
My goal as of right now is to continue maintaining my weight loss and getting back to the gym. I have shared the opportunity with people who noticed the change in me and express interest. I have seen these products work on other people around me, not just physically but mentally too. I hope to continue to introduce people to the products but regardless, I’m hooked.

6. Can you share your tips for success? What does a typical day look like for you?
On a typical day I usually start by making a shake for me and a shake for my son for breakfast (my daughter wont drink them yet),then I grab what I need for the day and run out the door. I keep everything I may need in my desk at work so if I can’t get away for lunch or run short on time I can just come back to work and make smarter choices. Honestly, I think the key is to not deprive yourself of something that you are craving. We all have our bad days where we make poor decisions about what we eat or drink, we’re human. What I love most is that this program makes it insanely easy to just hop back on and continue working on or maintaining your goal. The only regret I have is that I didn’t start it sooner. Best advice I have is… If you’re thinking about it, and you’re serious, don’t wait, do it!!
